The story moves from fog-bound London to a desolate island off the coast of Scotland, as Deirdre creates a mystery centered on an ancient and deadly curse to lure Tasha within sight of the real crime, but to cunningly deflect the lady sleuth into a labyrinth of false leads and lethal traps.
